1. Take time before you speak

One person must be prepared to think before speaking. The statement one is going to share has some meaning, stand, and reason behind it. So it becomes one's responsibility to take a proper stand and then share with the world. You need to figure out ways to convey or deliver your idea and its importance.

2. Be slow to speak and quick to listen

3. Recognize the 3 ‘V’ of spoken communication

When we meet people in general or face to face, keep in mind that we have all three V's to communicate.

a) Visual (how we look)

b) Vocal (how we sound)

c) Verbal (what we say)

Make sure that each of these V's is aligned to avoid any miscommunication and convey a powerful and professional message.

4. Use the right words at the right time

There is a proverb that relates; “A word spoken at the right time is like gold apples on a silver tray.” Language is not only a means of expression and communication. It is an instrument of experiencing, thinking, and feeling. So the power of the right words is at the right time.
